This service handles some of the most commonly misdiagnosed Elgin, OR mold problems, since crawl space issues often show up as a mystery smell somewhere else in the house.
Four reasons Elgin property owners trust us with this specific job.

We install barriers rated for the specific soil moisture conditions of your Elgin, OR property. Our Elgin equipment is rated for the humidity and tight clearance these spaces demand.
We'll flag any sump pump or grading issue that's feeding the moisture problem. We photograph crawl space conditions before and after so you have a visual record.

Every Elgin job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
Heavy-duty polyethylene sheeting gets sealed across the entire crawl space floor and up the foundation walls.
We evaluate existing drainage before proposing anything, since some Elgin crawl spaces just need a simple fix.
For chronic humidity problems, full encapsulation seals the entire space — floor, walls, and vents — into a controlled environment.
Exposed floor joists and subfloor wood get HEPA-vacuumed and treated with an antimicrobial suited for structural lumber.
Some Elgin, OR crawl spaces were built vented, which can actually pull in humid outside air during summer months.
Some Elgin clients schedule an annual crawl space check as cheap insurance against round two.

The questions we hear most about crawl space work.
Most residential crawl spaces are workable with the right training, even at 18 to 24 inches of clearance.
Encapsulation addresses the moisture source directly, which is usually what causes crawl space mold to return after a basic treatment.
If previous work only treated visible growth without addressing vapor barrier gaps or drainage, the moisture source was never actually fixed.
Air moves between a crawl space and living areas more than most people expect, especially through gaps around plumbing and ductwork.
A standard treatment typically takes one day; full encapsulation can take two to three days depending on square footage.
